Why is it so expensive?

Coratina olives pressed fast and cold — the peppery burn is the polyphenols talking.
The hand-painted ceramic keeps light out (good for the oil) and looks superb (good for you).
This is a finishing oil: soups, bread, mozzarella — never the frying pan.

Would we buy it?

Once

Yes — and refill the jar with decent oil forever after.

Keep a £5 oil for cooking and this for finishing. That's the whole system.
